SIGA understands the importance of students gaining experience in their related field of study. To support students, SIGA will provide on-the-job training to complement student academic studies.
1. Summer Student Program
SIGA is accepting applications for the 2017 Summer Student Program from November 18 to January 13, 2017.
This program allows returning post secondary students to gain work experience in their related field of study. The Summer Student Program is a paid work placement and it runs from May to August.
2. Co-operative Education Program
The Co-operative Education Program is for 2nd or 3rd year post secondary students to gain valuable experience in a professional environment related to their chosen major. The duration of the program is typically 4 to 8 months. Individual timelines will be arranged to meet employer and available student needs.
3. Internship Program
The Internship Program is for recent post secondary graduates that are looking for an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience in their field of study. The duration of the program is typically 8-16 months. Individual timelines will be arranged to meet employer and available student needs. The Internship program is a paid placement at an under fill wage.
