Ethnic Diversity – Mirror of God’s Creativity

June 11, 2015 - June 14, 2015

The CAPNM (Canadian Association of Parish Nurse Ministry) hosts an annual conference (open to everyone) which is primarily the yearly educational event for Parish Nurses throughout Canada.

This year, we have chosen the theme “Ethnic Diversity – Mirror of God’s Creativity” as we are seeking more information on cultural differences and diversification within health, education, social issues etc.  This conference and AGM will be held on June 11-14 at the Queen’s House of Retreats on 601 Taylor St. W.

We have a great line up of speakers.  Some of these include:  Archbishop Sylvain Lavoie, theme – First Nations Spirituality – Gift to the Church, Megan McKenna – international storyteller and lecturer, Michelle O’Rourke – will talk on respecting end of life cultural practices and differences, Denise Heppner – will address human trafficing and Allison Uitti will talk on cultural sensitivity in the school system.
