Walk For Alzheimer’s

The Walk for Alzheimer's takes place on Wednesday June 15th, 2016 in Swift Current at the Swift Current Comp High School.  This event is a fun outdoor evening walk where families, friends and co-workers raise pledges to support the work of the Alzheimer Society.  Registration begins at 6pm, and the walk at 6:30pm-8pm.  Last year in 2015, the walkers who participated raised over $150,000 across Saskatchewan. 2016 GrandFondo A Melfort Bike Marathon

National Aboriginal Day Celebration

The Lloydminster Native Friendship Centre celebrates National Aboriginal Day every year on June 21.  This day long event will showcase Aboriginal culture and traditions to people of all ages, gender and ethnicity.  National Aboriginal Day Celebration provides an opportunity to build cultural awareness and appreciation within the City of Lloydminster and surrounding area.  Through this event, many people, particularly children and youth can reconnect with their culture and heritage. National Aboriginal Day

June 21 is National Aboriginal Day.  To celebrate there are many activities taking place in Wascana Park starting at 9:00am, hosted by Regina NAD.  Plus at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum from 930am-5pm, you can visit the First Nations Gallery.  Hosted by the Saskatchewan Writers' Guild, from 1pm-2pm Metis storytelling and jigging workshops will be in the Royal Saskatchewan Museum Auditorium.  Everyone is welcome, there is no registration necessary. Saskatoon Wildlife Federation hosts summer camps for kids across the province to give them a chance to enjoy nature, educate them about animals and the environment, and make lasting friendships in a positive environment.  The past camps have been a great success.  There is a Beginner Camp (ages 6-9): July 11-14 for $85.00 and an Advanced Camp (ages 9-11): July 18-22 for $150.00. Back to Batoche Festival 2016
